OOOhhhh Yesss!!
Annddddd....
As you feel you're done with every work and its time to party the very next moment something stops you from having fun!

Finally i was done with my Module 4 Work and to my utter surprise i was given some more to do!
Do you know why?
I guess because i complete my work on time or sometimes before time with proper understanding!!
But ppl believe that is not the case and then I have gotto prove myself once again!
BUT
My mom does says that ppl expect some more only from those, from whom they believe they can get the result....
(That's quite an indirect compliment then!... Thanks to my faculties and my MOM as well.. 😊😄)

So Hi Guys! I am back and now moving forward i would like you all to have a look on my
"Attempt of another Prototype"
Here you go...

Does it give the feel of Dyer's stall?

The base shows a structure of a
COLOR PALETTE

Let me know if you like that and would like to know more about it.
That's all guys!
Wish me luck guys as i have my Last Jury for Foundation Course
TOMORROW!

Nervous? A bit! 😂
That's all guys!
Catch you soon.....
Toodles! 🙋

Hey there all you fellas! 😊
So as i did mentioned in my last post that i ll soon be uploading the pic of my 3D PROTOTYPE !
So the time has finally come!

So,  as my understanding i would first like to tell you the major difference between a model and a prototype.... which i figured out just a few days back! Well Thanks to my Visual Skills Faculty!

As you see the Prototype is a miniature 3D form of what we are expecting exactly same as a 3D Model but the only difference is that the Model does not work i.e does not show any utility rather the Prototype does everything that the actual 3D structure will be . Basically it shows it use unlike the model which shows just the structure.

That is all now do have a look on my protoype :)
Here we go!

The basic structure

When in use  (side view)

Every need of the Dyer is satisfied

Yessssss.........!!
Finally over!!
This calls for a BIG PARTY NIGHT !!

Catch you soon Guys!

Hey Guys!
So before directly jumping onto the 3D Prototype i first thought of working on a software by the name of Google Sketch up (which is a very basic software for 3D modelling).
You can easily find it on stores or even online free Trial versions are also available (Do not disclose but i am too working on the trial version right now).

Anyways!
Well its really easy to use and there are even several videos on Youtube to learn Google Sketch up. I can even share some URLs with you of the one i saw for a baic understanding of the software. (Let me know if you want me to share those URLs with you).

So actually google sketchup really helped me to get a better understanding of how in real am i gonna be working on my 3D Prototype. So i am done with the Sketchup Model but the Protoype is still in progess.
Will be uploading that too soon but for now lets have a look on my Sketchup model.

These are not the actual file. These are just the 2D img files from different angles.
                                                                   FRONT VIEW

                                                                  SLIGHT RIGHT SIDE VIEW

EXTREME SIDE VIEW

But you can have a look of the 3D file in this Video.

Hope you would like it. Let me know if there can be some better ideas for the same.
That is all for today guys!

Understanding the Micro area in detail

Hi guys!
So here i am with my new post.

So, after exploring the micro area through visual sketches,

(This is a sketch of the owner i.e the dyer named Mr. Sunil Kumar Verma)

Understanding the requirements of the dyer,

...surfing through web pages for tentative ideas for the solutions, trying hard to generate forms artistically and also thinking practically based on the initial design brief,  a few explorations were done to come up with a final  idea of the prototype of the stall.
But before that lets first see the explorations.....

Soon i am gonna be working on my 3D prototype and uploading my process on the same.
(UHHHH .... All work and No Play makes me a Dull Girl.)

That's all for now guys!

Further Exploration of Problems and Solutions

Hi Guys!

As i did mentioned in my last to last post that i would soon be updating you all with the leftover exploration sheets of the problems faced by the Dyer and the required solution for the same so here are those...

Do have a look!
😋😉
This page highlights the problem of no proper storage space for each dye with the idea of                                                                             respective solutions.

This page highlights the problem of Sitting area for the owner and his comfort with the idea of                                                                               respective solutions.

This page highlights the problem of High amount of Competition in the market with the idea of                                                                                  respective solutions.

This page highlights the problem of Spacing for the customers with the idea of respective                                                                                               solutions.

This page highlights the problem of no availability of a sink for the ease of the dyer to was cloth                                                                pieces with the idea of respective solutions.

And the last but not the least
This page highlights the problem of Water Storage with the idea of respective solutions.

That will be all for now guys.

DESIGN BRIEF AND MOOD BOARD

Hi guys!
Here i am.... 😉

So today, i am gonna give you a brief idea about the DESIGN INTERVENTION i am gonna be working on... pretty soon! i.e A portable/ movable STALL for the Dyer.

DESIGN BRIEF
My idea on the Design intervention for the respective MICRO AREA chosen is to make a portable/ movable STALL kind of structure which would simply incorporate  all the basic requirements of the dyer after recognizing all his needs and wants.
The design intervention should have the facilities to fulfill his needs and wants and should consist all the materials required by the dyer for the ease of his work as for now though he has all the materials available but the space is not utilized in an efficient manner and there is no proper place and management of everythng which needs a lot of attention.
Also the design would be able to attract attention of the customers, be it usual comers or new comers as the amount of competition for Mr. Sunil has increased over the years.
I will also try my best to use the materials which are cheap, affordable, easily available and which look good at the same time in making the stall.
As the stall is being made for a Dyer so it should also try to give a feel for the same with a name of the business (Board) at the top of the stall.

And finally comes the Mood board!
NO NO now do not get confused between the board i made earlier during my last module assignment which was Inspiration Board while this is Mood Board.
Basically it is a kind of a board which gives you a feel of whatever you are working on rather than giving you ideas and inspiring you which is the main idea behind Inspiration Board.
Here you go.....

That's all for now people.

Opportunity area identification

Hey guys! I am back!
So, i am almost towards the end of my module 4 as well as my Foundation course.

(Can't really imagine how fast this year passed by.)

So, as i am now working on the design opportunity area of the micro i chose i.e
We were to look into the problems that our micro area subject is facing, find solutions for the same and create something that can at the end serve as a design intervention for that particular shop.

So, with all the brainstorming about the micro,

...and after discussing all the problems and solutions i came up with a thought of creating a stall for the business which will entirely serve as design intervention for my module 4 outcome.
Here we go...

This page shows the first problem faced by the Dyer, i.e Absence of a proper stall.

This page shows another problem faced by the Dyer, i.e Absence of sewage pipe.

This page shows another problem faced by the Dyer, i.e Space to dry wet clothes.

For now, i am working on my visual exploration sheets, i have only a few for now but very soon i will be uploading more.

So, Stay connected guys!

A word with the Dyer

Hi guys!
As i told you that Sunil bhaiya really helped me to understand his work in detail and not only his work he did share his personal life and experiences with me, hoping i would be able to work for his betterment which i am gonna try to do to the best of my efforts.
Here is what all i could conclude from our conversations and my interrogation sessions. 😝

That is all for today guys!

Choosing a micro area

Hey guys!

Today i really need your suggestions .
So i have been thinking too much
About my research area that i even went there a couple of times more just to satisfy myself and get a better knowledge about the market so that i can choose my Micro area and start working on the further process but it becomes soooooo difficult for people like me to choose from a number of options where i can see opportunities to work upon.

My Shortlisted options for the Micro area-

                                                                           Option #1

Option #2

Option#3

Option #4

And as people say that you always tend to come back from where you started i.e "the circle of life"
Ohh! that reminds me of a really special childhood movie i used to watch...

(Awwwwwieee i can exactly recall soo many memories attached to this movie 😍😃)

Anyways, Getting Back to my Project work so i was saying that as i was to choose one micro area and after a lot of research on different shops i actually chose the one that actually caught my eye on the very first day of the field visit.
Yes i never mentioned it before because basically its a non established, not soo famous business  run by an individual named Sunil by the name of Sunil Dyeing.
Though his business isn't really a proper one but the person is highly ambitious to grow it and he has been very co operative in answering my continuous questions in depth, taking time out of his work.
I would really like to Thank him here. 😊

Ohh yeah before leaving, let me show you my micro area first.

So finally i got my micro area chosen and now i got to start working on the same in detail which i would tell you about in my next post.
Stay Connected Guys!
Hope you are having a good time with me!

Visual sketches part 2

HI GUYS ! I AM BACK !
As as mentioned in my last post i am here to show you guys more from my process book.
I sooooo excitedddddd...... AS ALWAYS! 😛
So,
In my visual sketches i have tried to apply different techniques of paintings i have learned uptil yet which makes them fresh and original i guess...

Here we go....

Drawing inks on Butter Paper with LINE DRAWING SKETCH of the market

This page basically starts talking about the PRODUCT CULTURE of the place.

Followed by this page which talks about fabrics for which actually the market is famous for.

However, This page shows a comparison between the M Block market of CP i.e right infront of Shankar market and itself.

This is another pencil sketch in progress.

#Chhach? #Lassi? # Anyone?
This page also visually talks about the variety of materials.

and this one represents the lazy mornings at Shankar Market! (Though the worker isn't lazy here at all! well i mean the market!)
Thats it guys! 😉
Hope you like them ! if yes do leave your comments !

STREET ART

Hey guys today i will highlight one of the best developments in the city (DELHI) for the revival of the market.

As we all know that Till 90s Connaught Place was a dream market, we moved around in circles, window-shopping and sometimes buying, drinking milk at Keventer’s, enjoying your stuffed Patties and Pastries at Wenger’s and strolling through the shaded corridors, checking the graffiti made by pan stains ( beetle leaves) on the corners.

Alas like all good things those days came to an end. Soon CP started declining ( CP is short for Connaught Place, as the beloved marked, is known to people of my generation and before) parking was a nightmare, buses leading to CP were overcrowded with Pickpockets, every corner a pimp tried to peddle something illegal to you.  People of Delhi were missing the leisurely stroll in Connaught Place where you could buy a burger from D’ Pauls without burning a hole in your pocket, or you could indulge in the finest of dining depending on the money in wallet and time at hand.
The New Delhi Municipal Corporation continue to work towards the revival .
Delhi is one of the few cities in the world that boast of  Street Art created by citizens who take pride in their city.
Theme
The paintings though do not follow any particular theme, they do represent the Colors of India depicting day-to-day life around us. On one side you have national bird Peacock dancing to glory, on other building one finds a bunch of Sadhus acting as DJs cum Rock Stars gone wild,  and in another one, a sage is listening to his headphones while a modern-day Maneka is dancing as if trying to seduce Vishwamitra out of his meditation. Well if I have to find a theme in these paintings then it has to be music. I guess music is a universal theme and continues to appear in street art all over the world and Delhi is just following the tradition. Everyday life from Delhi is well represented in the paintings besides exotica like Sadhu cum rock-stars dancing to some heavy metal can also be seen.
One of the paintings I loved is this one with a couple zipping on a bike with their hair flowing in the air, they have a door in front of them and it seems they are about to leap forward as if crossing a big canyon in full Bollywood style. There is Indian Tricolor behind them on the top of the building waving at them. On the other side of the canyon is a tree with lots of gifts hanging on it, but this tree is not a Christmas tree but a normal deciduous tree that has shed all its leaves just like the couple has shed their inhibitions in enjoying the motorcycle ride in the streets of Delhi

So,
That is all about street art i could collect and now i wanna show you my process book work on the same.

Street art depicting our national bird dancing through the walls of shankar market with pride.

Street art promoting peace and prosperity
